Italian fashion house Gucci is to back a new global campaign to raise funds and awareness for female gender equality it was revealed today.
The campaign for empowerment will be launched with 10 short films at the TEDxWomen event in California today (28th February). You may recognise the three ladies behind the initiative: Gucci’s creative director Frida Giannini, Hollywood actress Salma Hayek and worldwide superstar Beyoncé have joined forces for the project aptly titled “Chime For Change”.
“Chime For Change” aims to “convene, unite and strengthen voices speaking out for girls and women around the world and will focus on three key pillars: Education, Health and Justice”.
Frida Giannini explained, “I hope that through Chime we can help the voices calling for change to become so loud that they cannot be ignored.”
